THREE DISTINCTIVE SUITES
This is a house with lots of fun,
with lots of friends and lots of love.
AVA – AGE 6 – GRANDDAUGHTER
1) The Log-Accented Suite, BLUMA MADLE, is reached via a hand-crafted log stairway. On entering through the door of the Master Room (to the right at top of stairs) guests are greeted by many pleasant and friendly amenities - an airjet bathtub in the private full bath, beautiful furnishings (antique tiger-oak queen pillowtop bed), all vaulted ceilings, satellite hd tv/dvd/vcr, wireless internet, small fridge, cove heat and AC. In addition to comfortable seating in the Master Room, this suite has a front sitting area (to the left at top of stairs), with a log loft Bear Den padded by plush brown carpet and equipped for sleepy kids to enjoy indoor camping. Provided are fleece sleeping bags, comforters and pillows. Older children (or adventurous adults) may request an air mattress. This space is cooled by a nature-themed ceiling fan. The peaked windows in the photo (above) are viewing windows in the sitting area . . . near the Bear Den.
A slideshow of Bluma Madle may be found in the PICS link just below the link to this B&B Suites Tour (in left side bar and in horizontal list at bottom of page).
2) The ground level Knotty Pine Cabin-Style Suite, CHESSIE LEE'S PEAS, has a personal entrance, private full bath, a second vanity outside the bath, warming bay view pellet stove, a queen pillowtop master bed made of local ponderosa pine (rough-sawn vertical beams and a knotty headboard), as well as a cozy Nook with a southern cypress twin bed, handy for at least one little sleepyhead, or an adult (same party with primary). Other amenities include wireless internet, satellite hd tv/dvd/vcr, small fridge, microwave, cove heat and AC, plus a ceiling fan. On entering this suite, the Nook is on the right, while chairs and a table are on the left; overhead, the ceiling fan is suspended from a vault in the ceiling which leads up to the Tree House Loft. The Loft is an optional space which can sleep two people on a full-size pillowtop bed, and includes a half bath. This allows Chessie Lees Peas to accommodate up to five guests of one party. (Camp-style arrangements could be made for a sixth person, if needed.)
For the first time in years
I was unable to spend Mothers Day with my Mom.
So, we chose to take a little vacation together.
My sister and I brought her here
for (all) our first bed and breakfast experience
and it could not have been more wonderful.
The setting is beautiful - Close to town, but seeming miles away.
The room (Chessie Lees Peas) was a treat for the senses;
smelling of wood and seeing the fire dance before our eyes.
The food is fantastic, the hospitality
by far the best I have ever experienced.
Thank you so much for helping to make this
the most special Mothers Day Celebration yet.
I will be hard pressed to match it next year.

3) The ground level Knotty Pine Cabin-Style Suite, PRAIRIE HOMESTEAD, features amenities including a 4' shower with two jets for the lower back in the private bath, a queen pillowtop bed, small fridge, microwave, wireless high speed internet, hd tv/dvd/vcr, cove heat and AC, plus a ceiling fan, comfortable loveseat, personal entrance/exit (out the rear of the house, onto a private deck), service entry within the house, a twin bed in a Nook which has the nostalgic idiosyncrasy of what has been dubbed a hayloft. Prairie Homestead bears some resemblance to Chessie Lee's Peas in that it is nearly all wrapped with knotty pine, but many aspects are reminiscent of homestead life on the prairie. One may find the rising sun, the moon and the big dipper in this popular room. The large round copper sink embossed with vining wild flowers rests atop a hand-crafted vanity! Prairie Homestead now has a kitchenette equipped for light cooking...and the affectionate nickname of this suite—Little Prairie Cabin—has become even more fitting.

ALL THREE SUITES
. . . are uniquely separate from each other, having no connecting walls. Chessie Lees Peas and Prairie Homestead, as mentioned above, have private exit/entrance doors to the outside, as well as service entry doors into the house which lock on both sides. Bluma Madle has a semi-private entrance, in the main level foyer and up the log stairway to the suite.
In all three suites, some little touches are left unphotographed, for you to enjoy when you arrive. Also, now and then, small changes may be made, unannounced . . . because the Antiques Shop likes to be involved, too!
Back to 1) The following pictures (on this page) represent Bluma Madle, in part, beginning with the log loft Bear Den, about which one young boy stated emphatically to his father:
Dad, if we ever build another house, I would like you to build my room to look just like this, I mean JUST like this!
Thank you!! Our family had a great stay. You are gracious hosts and your B&B is beautiful. The food was incredible. The kids loved the loft, the juice and getting to know you. We also appreciated all the advice about the area and things to do. Best wishes -Nebraska
The following testimonial was written in German:
Much thanks for the camp place stay. We slept (wonderful) (restful) so deep. It was very difficult for us to get up. Greeting, out of the Swiss -Switzerland
Inside the master room, here is a good restful sleep!
